A world famous grape variety in Bordeaux, Merlot has found its place in Switzerland, particularly on our hillsides in the commune of Auvernier. From this terroir, it draws its fruitiness and reveals a superb aromatic palette supported by supple tannins.

This Merlot, of 30 months of aging in oak barrels with different toasting intensities, represents our desire to innovate. Boasting aromas of black fruits, the Merlot « Les Grand’ Vignes » expresses notes of redcurrant, plums, new leather and spices.

Coming at 100% from the vines of the plot called “Les Grands' Vignes” in Auvernier, this Merlot will surprise you both with its exceptional aromatic intensity and its silky texture on the palate.

Tasting notes

Eye
A deep garnet red color, with very slightly purplish borders. An intensity of deep color attesting to the maturity and quality of the harvest. Quite slow tears.

Nose
A very sustained aromatic intensity, made of extremely ripe, even candied, black-fleshed red fruits. Aromas of black cherry, blackcurrant, blackberries and plum punctuated by a touch of new leather and spices.

Mouth
A fruity and tender attack followed by a mid-palate which provides a sensation of richness and depth. Already supple tannins which bring a charming, round and persistent finish to this wine ready for aging.
